The Taghkanic Chorale welcomes new singers. The Taghkanic Chorale welcomes new and returning singers to Spring rehearsals, starting Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 7:30 pm. New singers are invited to sing with the Chorale, without obligation to join, during the month of January. Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm at the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene, White Hill Road, Yorktown Heights, NY, conveniently located near the Route 202 Exit off the Taconic Parkway. The chorale’s music director provides informal one-on-one coaching sessions for new and returning members to assist with part placement, section balance and voice blending. Dues, which help defray concert and operating costs, are $75.00 for the second semester. Members purchase their own music. The Taghkanic Chorale, a leading cultural organization in New York's Hudson Valley, is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization.
